"The cake and the cookies were a HUGE hit... we got lots of requests from guests to take home extra cookies... for the cake, people were constantly standing around it admiring. We had a lot of fun with the "flag" idea, too... almost every guest gathered around to put in a pin for their hometown, and everyone was talking about it all night. Everyone thought it was the best cake they had ever tasted! It served 12 and I had 2/3rd of a cake left but many guests gladly took some home. Usually, its hard to get friends to take leftovers.
